Description:
Automation engineer supporting collaborative development and qualification of measurement instrumentation used in manufacturing of Intraocular Lenses (IOLs).
- Utilize Agile development fundamentals to deliver solutions in fast paced environment
- Support project team in operational testing and troubleshooting of complex machinery
- Development and demonstration of measurement methods using engineering and statistical calculations, statistical process monitoring
- Development of documentation and procedures for verification and validation of new & existing equipment in GxP environments
- Work in hands-on environment, assemble and test fixtures in laboratory and clean environment conditions
- Travel to manufacturing site location to oversee installation and troubleshooting of equipment
- Experienced operating and troubleshooting automation equipment (automated motion systems, machine vision systems)
- Proactive learner & problem solver
- Effectively communicates, good technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physics disciplines
- 3 years of experience in design or field engineering; preferred experience in machine vision, computerized motion systems, robotics
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, or software design of automation equipment a plus
- Experience in design and analysis of optical imaging & machine vision systems a plus
